History


Founded in the city of Itapira on September 15 1982 by the Siqueira and the Hantower families; IMBIL began its activities on June 01 1983 as a foundry and a centrifugal pumps maintenance service provider. In January 1985 the Siqueira family bought 100% of the company's capital stock and in January 1988, IMBIL started to operate in its own facilities on Rua Jacob Audi.
MISSION: IMBIL has the mission of providing pumping solutions and its related services so as to meet the needs and expectations of its clients in the global market.
Vision: IMBIL believes that Honesty, Dedication, Courage to innovate and the Humility to Learn, form its basic values.
Quality Policy: Customers must be the focus when offering pumping solutions so that their needs are met on a continuous and growing basis.
IMBIL consolidates its operations on the pillars of the Company's Integrated Development - Employee - Family, Community Participation and Social Ethics.
The purpose of the Business Processes is to manufacture Goods, to provide Services and the Development of People and their social groups of reference.
Many tools of the Social Accountability, Health, Safety and Environment have been implemented and monitored, establishing the basis for the planned goals for Certification ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000.

ITAP Pump

Special Features: Single suction, horizontal pump of single, double or triple stages, radially split case with vertical or horizontal discharge.
Applications: IMBIL's ITAP pump is recommended for clear liquid pumping. It may be applied in water supply, irrigation, public services, agriculture, sanitation, chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries, pulp and paper, textiles, food, sugar mills and alcohol extraction plants, distilleries, in cooling systems, fire fighting, building facilities, in the air conditioning segment, etc.

Characteristics Split-case, back-to-back impeller mounted, multi-stage pump, which allows for a better compensation of the axial thrust.

Special Features: Horizontal multi-stage pump with stage piece vertically sectioned, the stage pieces are sealed by means of O-rings and grouped in the suction and discharge pieces by means of tie bars

Special Features: Horizontal multi-stage pump with suction and discharge pieces vertically sectioned. The stage pieces are sealed from each other by means of plain joints and fixed by means of tie bars.
Applications: Water supply, irrigation, low pressure boilers, fire fighting system, clear liquid pumping, textile industries and industrial facilities in general.

Special Features: Horizontal, axially split case pump with horizontal suction and discharge flanges positioned in the lower piece, which enables the rotating assembly to be disassembled without requiring the piping to be pulled apart.

Special Features: Radial centrifugal pump with horizontal shaft and open overhung impeller with roller bearing in oil bath lubrication.
Applications: Used for pumping liquids containing solids such as: pre-settled sewage, sugar cane with and without bagasse, sugar cane juice in fermentation, cellulose stock, sugar mills and alcohol extraction plants; as well as industries for pumping liquids with large amounts of gas and foam.

BV Pump

Special Features: The vacuum pumps were developed to meet the different needs of the industries and reach residual pressures of up to 2.29" (75 Torr) and volumetric flows of up to 3000 CFM (5070 m³/h), and may be operated using any gases whose properties are compatible with the construction materials they are made of. They may suck little quantities of liquids, suspended solid materials or vapors.
Applications: May be used in cookers, evaporators, vacuum filters, vacuum extraction in chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper plants, textile, mining, pharmaceutical, steel, food industries and sugar mills and alcohol extraction plants

E/EP

E/ EP Pump

Special Features: Designed to provide the final client with the highest level of safety, this product does not require priming at the beginning of every operation even if the suction piping has no fluid. It is easy-to-operate, its maintenance is simple and allows for the inspection cover and all the rotating assembly to be removed without adversely affecting the suction and discharge piping, so that any foreign matter that may be interfering in the performance of the equipment may be detected and removed by using the inspection cover without any contact with the fluid.
Applications: IMBIL's pre-self-priming pump, E/EP, may be applied in: sanitation, civil construction, drainage, chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries, pulp and paper, textiles, agriculture, industrial cooling systems, food industry and irrigation.

INI-in-LINE Pump

Special Features: Single-stage centrifugal pump using a monoblock system, anchored in the volute, in-line suction and discharge. Coupled to engines for "monoblock pump" of the JM type with "C" type NEMA flange. The sealing is made through Type 21 Mechanical Seal.
Applications: Air conditioning system, building facilities, chemical industries, cooling services, hot water circulation, water supply, irrigation, industries in general.

Special Features: Centrifugal pump of closed radial impeller with vertical shaft, mounted using support bearings, grease lubricated and Teflon thrust bearings, with hydraulic characteristics similar to those of the INI line.
Applications: Pumping of liquids with low solid content which may have aggressive characteristics, organic and inorganic products used in chemical and petrochemical industries, pulp and paper, food industry, synthetic fibres, supporting circuits in refineries, sugar mills and alcohol extraction plants and in industries for the pumping of liquids with large quantities of gases and foams

IS - Slurry

IS-Slurry Pump

Special Features: IMBIL's Pulp Pumps are recommended for pumping liquids containing suspended solid particles of small or large diameters, provided that these particles pass through the maximum impeller opening. These particles may be found in small or large concentrations such as coal, sand, phosphate, stones, bauxite, ores in general, ashes, residues as well as abrasive and/or corrosive liquids.
Applications: This model was designed to be used in: mining, steel industry, heat generation, process of ore, sand, quarrying, industrial processes, fertilizers, chemical industries and sugar mills and alcohol extraction plants.

Special Features: IMBIL relies on state-of-the-art technology to comply with the stringiest market requirements and launches its pump lines according to the 9th Edition of API-610 Standard. A project that includes all the requirements established in the said standard and provides long useful life for the equipment, minimizing the vibration values, enhancing the robustness of the bearing supports, with a sealing box compatible with different Mechanical Seals and with all sealing plans available.
Applications: Chemical and petrochemical industries.

Special Features: Single-stage pump with horizontal suction and vertical discharge. These pump lines have robust construction providing them with long useful life. Applications: Pumping of pulp and paper paste at high concentrations, raw sewage, chemical effluents, waste from processes in the form of sludge, mixtures of water with coal, sand, cereals, solids in general or materials with long fibres prone to forming braids.

The Company:

IMBIL- Indústria e Manutenção de Bombas ITA Ltda. is a 100% Brazilian, closely held company operating in the segment of single and multi-stage Centrifugal Pumps since 1982. It is head quartered in the city of Itapira (São Paulo) in a private area of 120,000 m², with 23,500 m² of built-up land.
IMBIL Pumping Solutions offers an extensive line in centrifugal pumps for a wide range of applications including sugar and alcohol, chemical and petrochemical, pulp and paper, irrigation, air conditioning, basic sanitation, textiles, fire fighting, boiler feed, mining and industrial.
IMBIL's Core business is defined as "Pumping Solutions" and it operates relying on a Distribution Network in Brazil and throughout Latin America, in addition to Business Partners in the US and Europe.
All its product line is manufactured using cast and nodular iron alloys and special materials according to the customer needs, such as: stainless steel, carbon steel, superalloys and wear-resistant alloys (abrasion and corrosion).

ISO 9001:2008 certified by BVC (Bureau Veritas Certification) since 1996. Since then, IMBIL has been constantly seeking national and international recognition and in 2010 it obtained the Certificate of Registration and Record Classification (CRCC, Certicado de Registro e Classificação Cadastral) by Petrobras with an average score of 95% in the 06 audited modules. Its supply scope was then raised, and now includes the material families 001-Horizontal Centrifugal Pump according to API 610, 002-Horizontal Centrifugal Pump for the Pumping of Clean Water and Wastewater Discharge according to Proprietary Design, 003-Centrifugal Process Pumps according to ASME B73.1, 004-Horizontal Centrifugal Pump for Fire Protection according to NPFA 20 and 005-Horizontal Centrifugal Pump for Non-standardized Industrial Units According to Manufacturer Standard.
It is a medium-sized company that employs more than 700 professionals in its Divisions, Foundry and Administration, 20% of which have a university degree.

IMBIL Service

Based in the city of Itapira in the State of São Paulo with facilities measuring 1200 m², IMBIL Service and Work Service are the corporate branches of IMBIL in the segment of Services in Equipment Refurbishing and Maintenance Agreement Management.
With highly qualified professionals, proper equipment, duly calibrated instruments and IMBIL's infrastructure plant, operations of start-up, refurbishing, corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities are performed in Brazil and abroad.
As for Agreement Management activities, IMBIL Service and Work Service (IS/WS) train, qualify and manage Resident Maintenance Teams, taking on responsibility for the maintenance and performance of the pumping equipment of the Plant. This type of service is currently performed under seven agreements, among which the Grupo São Martinho de Açúcar e Álcool (9.7 million tons of sugar cane in 2006) as of December 1999.

IMBIL's management is planned based on a Quality Management System - QMS - according to the International Standard ISO 9001 version 2000. The QMS is established, documented, implemented, maintained and improved continuously in order to reach the quality standards required in all its business processes. Based on the review of ISO 9001 Standard, "IMBIL's Business Model" was established comprising the identification of the essential feedback components in the internal and external environments, including the Primary processes, of Support and Management. The performance of the processes is monitored through a set of efficiency indexes and the actions aimed at improvement are a result of the measurement and analysis of such processes. Quality Planning defines how the quality requirements are complied with based on the customer-related processes, from raw material and component receiving to final product shipping and associated services provided. The Quality Objectives were deployed based on the Quality Policy and IMBIL's guidelines and are monitored on a regular basis by means of proper indexes.
